Shirley Chapin (Lansing)

Ms. Shirley Chapin passed away Monday, January 10, 2022, at McLaren Greater Lansing Hospital in Lansing, Michigan. Age 61 years. Shirley was born July 7, 1960, in Lansing, Michigan, to parents, Rodney and Nancy Hanley.

Shirley was a sweet and loving woman who loved her family and whose laughter will be greatly missed. She was kind and went out of her way to help anyone in need.

Shirley enjoyed watching NASCAR, and listening to music, specifically Hank Williams, Jr., Bob Segar, and Queen.

She leaves to cherish her memory daughter, Heather Ann Hanley; son, Kenneth Roland (Shannon) Hanley; grandchildren, Arek Kenneth Redmond, Eryn Kayle Redmond, and Roland Patrick Hanley; sister, Sally Marie (Jack) Redmond; brother, Rodney Leon Chapin, Jr.; nieces, Sarah (Jared) Moon and Michelle Peterson; nephews, Virgil Niellis, Ike Niellis, Brad Hanley, and Michael Hanley, as well as many great nieces and great nephews; and ex-husband, Ed Kienutske.

Shirley is preceded in death by her father, Rodney Chapin, Sr.; mother, Nancy Fenby Chapin; and brother, Douglas Chapin.

The family would like to express special thanks to everyone that donated to help with Shirly’s final arrangements.
