Shelly Trice

Shelly Ann Mosson Trice was born to Willie Sr. and Corean K. Mosson on Monday, March 29, 1948 in Greenville, Mississippi. She went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 9, 2020.

Shelly began her education at St. Benedict the Moor Catholic Church in Indianola, Mississippi before attending Lucy Webb and Ella Darling Elementary Schools in Greenville. She was friendly, smart and energetic as a child. She loved music and dancing which made it
natural for her to become a Majorette in the marching band. Shelly was a beloved member of Coleman High School Class of 1966.

Shelly relocated her family to Saginaw, Michigan, where she worked hard to support her children in all their endeavors. She was employed as a Technician for the Saginaw County Community Mental Health Authority until her retirement.

Shelly enjoyed home improvement, cooking, baking and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will truly be missed.

Shelly was preceded in death by daughter, Chantelle J. Mosson; son, Kendrick V. Bowens; parents, Willie Sr. and Corean K. Mosson; granddaughter, Destiny C. Harvey; sister, Erma D. Sanders; brother, Charlie Matthews Jr.; mother-in-law, Callie Trice.

Her memory will forever be cherished by her husband, John H. Trice; sons, Victor C. Mosson, William E. Boyd; daughters, Charlotte C. Mosson, Lesia (Lucas) Wheatley; stepchildren, Damon Stephens, Tanisha Bowman, Desmond (Ashley) Trice, Shana Simmons Trice, D’Angelo Trice and Adrian Tyus; granddaughters, Michelle D. Rivers, LaKendra K. Bowens, Amaya D. Nash, Hannah M. Wheatley; grandsons, Kendrick V. Mosson, Kendrick D. Turner, Drew Moore, Victor M. Harris, Keon Bowens, Quinn P. Hodges, Trevell Wiley, La’Marion Moore; great-grandchildren, DeAsia Rivers, Ja’Von Roby, Ka'Den Cook, D’Sean and Ki’Chon Scroggins, Quinn Jr., Kyran and Kayden Hodges, DeAndrew Moore; sisters, M. Price, Cheryl M. Love; brothers, Willie V. Mosson Jr., George (Veronica) Mosson; sisters-in-law, Carolyn Roberson, Maria Lowry, Vanessa Trice, Nina Thomas; brothers-in-law, Henry, Anthony and Kevin Trice; best friend, Jacqueline Birdsong; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
