Ms. Sheila Ann Brooks passed away on Thursday, December 23, 2021, at Covenant Harrison ICU in Saginaw, Michigan. Age 62. years. Sheila was born August 15, 1959, in Wildwood, New Jersey, the daughter of James and Lillian Banks.

Sheila attended Flint Northern High School. She attended Old Town Outreach Ministry. Sheila loved the simple things in life, fried chicken, bingo, music, and dancing for sure. She had the biggest sense of humor that would make you laugh. If you needed anything Sheila would give it to you; she had a heart of gold. One of Sheila’s accomplishments was a poem she wrote for her son entitled “A Mothers Prayer,” which came in first place out of one thousand poets. Her biggest love was the love she had for her family, especially her children Antwane and Robin. Thank you for being our sister, you will always be a part of us.

Sheila leaves to cherish loving memories her daughter, Robin Lynn Banks, Houston Texas, and son, Antwane Darnell Banks, Saginaw, Michigan; grandchildren, Twanyan Goodman, Antwane, Dequan, and Consuela Banks, all of Saginaw, Michigan, Dontae, Javon, and Jahrey Banks, Houston, Texas; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Virginia “Nina” Banks; two brothers, James (Joanne) Banks, Michael “Mike” Anthony Banks; three nieces, Leslie Alisha Banks, Tameka Bridgeforth, Taquana Franklin; four nephews, Duane Eddie Vanlanham Banks, Marcellus Scott, Michael, and James Banks Jr.; two aunts, Willie Mae Casey-Banks, and Ivy Lee Stone-Gay; two uncles, Ike Stone and Joe Casey; many cousins; one sister-in-law, JoAnn Banks, and a special friends, The Turnipseed family.

Sheila was preceded in death by her parents, James “Jimmy” and Lillian Mae Banks, and her brothers, Herbert Lee Banks and James “JB” Banks, Jr.

The family would like to express special thanks to the doctors and staff at Covenant HealthCare Cooper Hospital, and Laura Bass.
