Sharon Surles

Ms. Sharon Lee (Craion) Surles, our beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 27, 2011 at her home. Age 65 years. She was born September 27, 1945 in Saginaw, Michigan to Lawrence Craion and Katherine McCloud (Albert) Taylor.
Sharon retired form General Motors with 30 years of service. She was a member of Local 668 and Local 2166 in Shreveport, LA. Sharon was a member of Mt. Olive Institutional Missionary Baptist Church and a supporter of the youth program.
She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Jayniece Reanee (Mecko) Johnson, Fortson, GA, Sheldon Surles, Saginaw, MI; two grandchildren, Jasmine Johnson, Fortson, GA, Sheldon Nash, Shreveport, LA; three sisters, Janet L. Pruitt, Saginaw, MI, Sylvia and Charla Taylor, New Orleans, LA; god sister, Natalie (Glen) Donnell of Saginaw; two brothers, Marvin (Gladys) Craion, Saginaw, MI, Carl Taylor, Dayton, OH; a special brother -in-law, Ronald Davis, Saginaw, MI; three aunts, Lucille (Uleslie) Surles, Barbara McCloud, Saginaw, MI, Doris McCloud, Detroit, MI; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends including special friends, Earnestine Kessee, Shreveport, LA, Karen Winston, Shreveport, LA, Leona Spates, Lenora Durham, both of Saginaw, MI and Pearl Bishop. The family of Sharon Surles would like to express a special thanks to her caregivers, Angela Jones, Tina M. Kavanagh, Kathy Primas, Visa Sims, Laura Welch, Christina Muller and June Askew.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Marcus Surles; brother, Allen Craion, grandparents, L.C. and Loubertha Valentine, Cleveland and Lola Mae McCloud; three aunts, Odessa Barkley, Roberta (Red) Skinner, Geraldine Ragland; two uncles, Grover (Stein) McCloud, Dr. Aaron MCloud and very closed friend, Diane Jones.
