Sandra Jackson

December 10, 1957 — July 5, 2015

Sandra Lorraine Jackson transitioned into heaven receiving her wings on Sunday, July 5, 2015. Age 57 years. She was born on December 10, 1957 in Paraiso, Canal Zone, Republic of Panama to Eleanor Maynard ne Williams and the late Oliver Maynard.
During her tender years, Sandra was adopted and raised by her paternal grandparents, the late Hilary and Enid Maynard. She was quite popular at Paraiso Jr. Sr. High School becoming a graduate of the class of 1977. Everyone loved her. Sandra was part of a very large family nucleus, The Williams Family, where she was positioned as the first born grandchild/niece and received tons of love. She was deeply rooted in the Maynard Family tree where her sisters, Elda, Shelia, Xiomara and Jacqueline formed an impeccable bond that could not be broken. She also was raised with three dear cousins, Maritza, Aminta and Gilberto who also lived in the home of her grandparents. Later in life, she met her husband, Vellis Jackson, who was stationed in Panama at the time. They were joined in holy matrimony on March 7, 1992 as he swept Sandra off her feet and brought her back to the states. Their daughter, Kerisha Jackson, was later born into their union of love. Sandra loved to shop and would not be caught in public without a pair of earrings. She enjoyed drinking tea and cooking her favorite dish, Chow Mein. Also, Sandra was a die-hard Venus and Serena Williams fan when it came to tennis. Sandra loved being around family, especially her grandchildren. At times she would walk around fussing in her native tongue, Spanish. She will be truly missed.
Sandra leaves to cherish her memory her dear husband, Vellis Jackson of Saginaw Michigan, mother, Eleanor Maynard of Panama; daughter, Kerisha Jackson of Saginaw, Michigan, son, Michael (Ana) Maynard of Panama; four sisters, Elda Maynard of Texas, Shelia (Eric) Franklin of California, Xiomara (Gary) Morgan of Panama, Jacqueline Campbell of North Carolina; two sisters-in-law, Larce Humphrey and Lisa (Terrance) Wright of Saginaw Michigan; six brothers-in-law, Hilton (Gilda) Jackson, Mark (Dwan) Bryant all of Saginaw, Michigan, Jason Wright of Bay City, Michigan, Derwin (Monique) Jackson of Indiana, Mark (Gloria) Bridgewater of Texas, and Bobby (Cacelia) McCaskey of Hammond, Louisiana; three grandchildren, Jaiden Jackson, Serenity Hunt, Lisekya Maynard; one great granddaughter, Gianna, special cousins, Maritza, Aminta, and Gilberto, and a hosts of aunts, uncles, and other family members that are too many to name.
Sandra was preceded in death by her father, Oliver Maynard, grandparents, Hilary and Enid Maynard, mother-in-law, Leotha Jackson, and her father-in-law, Antione Jackson.
