Mr. Samuel Mayon Webb passed away Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at his residence. Age 69 years. He was born March 27, 1948 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas to James Webb McCray and Gusella Wooten.

Samuel attended Altheimer, Arkansas schools graduating from Altheimer High School in 1965. He accepted Christ at an early age and continued in his faith as he united with Clearstone Baptist Church, later moving his membership to Victorious Believers Ministries upon arriving in Saginaw, Michigan. Samuel served under the leadership of the late Bishop Marvin C. Pryor and was presently under Elder Christopher Pryor. He joined in holy matrimony the love of his life, Lucille Webb, and embraced their 50 years of marriage with four children and thirteen grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Samuel supported his family by his attendance at Saginaw Valley State University and the COC where he gained knowledge in auto body repair and painting. He was employed ten years with Saginaw Steering Gear and a member of UAW Local 699. Samuel later followed his dream by opening Sam’s Auto Shop, his first self-owned business. He graduated to an auto body partnership with his uncle Milton working on cars, helping neighborhood children keep their bicycles repaired, and lawn mower repairs. Samuel enjoyed spending time with his family and fishing. He will be missed dearly by all who loved him.

He leaves to cherish his memories his devoted wife, Lucille Webb, Saginaw, Michigan; four children, Arvell (Terri) Webb, Grand Prairie, Texas, Choya (Kimberley) Webb, Cypress, Texas, Ardella Webb, Mansfield, Texas, and Tamieka (Miron) Hamilton, Grand Prairie, Texas; eleven grandchildren, Trishondrella Holmes, Arvell Webb, Jr., Rodney Holmes, Choya Webb, Jr., De’Jane Webb, Xalen Webb, Jaleel Webb, Miron Hamilton, Jr., Tatum Webb, Kylan Webb and Erin Hamilton; three great-grandchildren, Bryson Holmes Cotton, London Minniefield, and Tahla Holmes; nine sisters, Patricia Jernigan, Shreveport, Louisiana, Cyndella Wooten, Jackie Johnson, and Doris (Lynnard) Wesson, all of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, Janice (Victor) Walford, Grand Prairie, Texas, Charlotte Wooten, Boca Raton, Florida, Karen Webb, Stafford, Texas, Jacqueline Bettis, Lansing, Michigan, and Orita Jackson, Saginaw, Michigan; four brothers, Alphonso (Luella) Taylor, Shreveport, Louisiana, Dolphous Wooten, Melvin Wooten, both of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, Charles (Lavoyan) Coleman, Scott, Arkansas; six aunts, Bertha Webb, Mary Lee Frazier, Carrie Taylor, Bernice Williams, Eula Smith, Johnnie Mae Webb; one sister-in-law, Clarice Taylor; many other relatives and friends including special friends, Derrick Thorne, Kelly Allish, and Joe Kelly.

Samuel was predeceased by his parents, James Webb McCray and Gusella Wooten; grandparents, Drewey and Lula Taylor; one sister, Michelle Wooten; three brothers, Dwight, Jesse, and Roosevelt Wooten; many other relatives and friends.
The family would like to express special thanks to Dr. Minoo Khetarpal, A & D Home Health Care, Fresenius Medical Care Dialysis Center, Elder Christopher Pryor and the Victorious Believers Ministries Church family and Ms. Barbara Sane who supported us during this time of bereavement.
