Ruby Lenora Alexander

Our beloved mother, grandmother, godmother, sister and aunt, Ruby Lenora Strong-Alexander went home to be with the Lord on Friday, January 7, 2011. Ruby was born on June 6, 1933 in Cotton Plant, Mississippi to Hubert and Rosa Ticer-Strong.
Ruby relocated to Saginaw, Michigan with the love of her life. She was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking. Ruby was a dedicated member of St. Luke C.M.E. church where she sang in the senior choir and served faithfully on the Missionary Board. She was a lifetime member of the NAACP and an avid supporter of her grandchildrens musical talent.
Ruby leaves to cherish her memory two children, Kathy (James) Bradford and Hubert L. Alexander Sr.; honorary daughter, Josephine Alexander; seven grandchildren, Hubert R. (Jen) Alexander, Adora N. (Dulle) Ladisic, Crystal R. Alexander, Hubert L. Alexander, Jr., Andrea R. Alexander, Breannah R. Alexander, Florence J. Alexander; six great-grandchildren; Cedrick Thomas, Jr., Kendrick Thomas, Jared Alexander, Christian Farmer, Camryn Ladisic, Micah Alexander; a godson, Frederick Alexander , Jr.; one brother, Jacob Strong Sr.; many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends including a very special friend, Olean Bodiford. A very special thanks goes out to her daughter-in-law, Josephine Alexander for her love and support during our mothers illness and to Sheilda Braddock.
He was preceded in death by her husband, Royston L Alexander; parents, Hubert and Rosa (Ticer) Strong; brothers, Willie Lee Smith, James E. Strong and Fon H. Strong.
