Roderick Shawn Reeves, Jr. (Lansing)

Roderick Shawn Reeves, Jr., aka Roddy- P passed away June 30, 2017 in Lansing, Michigan, at the age of 23 years old. Roderick was born May 1, 1994 to Tracie Austin and Roderick Reeves, Sr., in Lansing, Michigan.

Roderick received his education thru the Lansing School District. He attended St. Matthews AME Church with his family. Roderick’s career was in housing restoration. However, he loved working with electronics, and was especially good with computers. He loved dogs, especially pit bulls, but most of all he loved to see his granny smile and making her laugh.

Roderick leaves to cherish his memory his parents, Tracie (Eric Terrance) Austin; father, Roderick Reeves, Sr.; step-father, Milton Truss; grandparents, Barbara Cook, Maxine Reeves; great-grandmother, Channie Austin; one aunt, Monica Reeves; two uncles, Zerick Reeves, Kenteh Reeves, Arthur Reeves, Jr.; God-parents, Anita & Stacy Drake; special friends, Shemeckia Conner, Adrian Cook, Lil D, Dae Dae, Milton Truss, J.J., Jordan Pete, Tray, James Hudson, AJ, Rashawn Jackson, Porkey, Tyson, Tori Jackson, Devonte Reeves, Big Drew, TA, Marquel, Pierre, Bonjour Cook, Jaylon Lucas, LaShay, LiKim and Nawf Pass, including many other cousins, relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Theodore Austin “Papa”, Arthur Reeves, aunt Michelle Reeves, and best friend Justin Leonard.
