Robert Lawrence Coleman, formerly of Saginaw, Michigan passed away suddenly at his residence in North Charleston, South Carolina on September 15, 2010. Age 54 years. He was the second son born May 9, 1956 in Saginaw, Michigan to Rosa and Russell Coleman Sr.
He graduated with the Class of 1974 from Saginaw High School and enlisted in the United States Air Force the same year. Robert proudly served his country for 24 years where he attained the rank of Chief Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force. While in the Air Force, he traveled the world with services in Somalia and Desert Storm. Robert enjoyed watching movies, reading a good book, and anyone who dared to debate him on any subject. Sundays would find him at home talking for hours to family and friends.
He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Rosa Coleman; two sisters, Linda (Richard) Johnson, Mary Coleman; brothers, Russell Coleman Jr., Larry (Janice) Coleman Sr. both of Saginaw, MI, Michael (Rosie) Coleman, Lansing, MI, Stacey (Tam-Lien), Belleville, MI; thirteen nieces; eight nephews; eighteen great nieces and nephews; ten aunts; four uncles; many other relatives and friends that he loved very much including a special friend, Billy R. Sherman.
He was preceded in death by his father, Russell Coleman Sr; grandparents, Rosa and Booker T. Jackson Sr. and Vesta and Lewis Coleman Sr.
