Robert Goodman

August 19, 1956 — February 24, 2013

Our beloved son, brother, father, uncle and friend passed away at the Aleda E. Lutz V.A. Medical Center on February 24 2013. Age 56 years. Mr. Goodman was born August 19, 1956 in Saginaw, Michigan to Mr. and Mrs. Wardell and Zemira Goodman.
Robert was a veteran of the Vietnam Era and Peacetime serving in the United States Army from September 10, 1973 to May 4, 1977. He was the ?champ? of chess; always willing to challenge anyone to a game and bragging that he was undefeated. Robert loved solving crossword puzzles and reading books and newspapers.
He will truly be missed by his only daughter Zemira Goodman of Saginaw, Michigan and three grandchildren; Twanyae, Mar?Quianna, and Mar?Quise Goodman, all of Saginaw, Michigan. Six sisters; Catherine, Theresa, and Yvonne-Reed Goodman; Joanne (Clarence) West, all of Saginaw, Michigan, Joyce Ann Goodman of Stone Mountain, Georgia, Trina (Michael) Chandler. Five brothers, Wardell Jr., Jerry Lee, Larry, and George Goodman, all of Saginaw, Michigan; Leo (Sharon) Goodman of Charlotte, North Carolina. Many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Wardell and Zemira Goodman, grandparents, Leola and William Martin and Queen Goodman, uncle, Reverend Johnnie Goodman, one brother, Jimmie Lee Goodman, two nieces and two great-nephews, Demerris, Jerri Lynn, Ste?von and Dontae Dix-Goodman.
The Goodman family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at the Veterans Administration Center and the Hospice Care workers.
