Mr. Richard Vasquez Sr. of Sacramento, California formerly of Saginaw, Michigan went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 following a sudden illness. Age 78 years. He was born September 3, 1935 in Saginaw, Michigan to Tiburcio and Herminia Vasquez..
Richard had been a resident of Sacramento, California for most of his life. He was a retiree of the City of Sacramento. Richard loved helping people and he was a servant for the Lord. He enjoyed fishing, swimming with family and friends and traveling. His presence will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He leaves to cherish his memory his children, Richard Vasquez Jr., Vincent T. Vasquez, Bonnie (Reeder) Vasquez, Anthony Vasquez, John Vasquez and their mother, Consuelo Garcia Vasquez Hernandez, his children with Kathleen Vasquez Badaway are Anthony Vasquez, Yolanda Vasquez and Deanna Vasquez Garcia; many other relatives and friends.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Tiburcio and Herminia Vasquez, two sons, Paul and Jeffery Vasquez, four brothers, Tiburcio Vasquez II, Jose Vasquez Joe, Ronnie Vasquez Reynaldo and John Vasquez.
