On December 10, 2017, after 75 years of a beautifully fulfilled life, Richard was called home, with his family by his side.

In the community, Richard was a member of the Saginaw Alumnae Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi, Inc. and a Meals on Wheels volunteer.
