Phillip (Lansing) Wood

Phillip James Wood passed away Monday, September 5, 2016 at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing, Michigan. Age 38 years. He was born October 23, 1977 to Cheryl Wood and Gary Wing in Lansing, Michigan.
Phillip was a life long resident of Lansing, Michigan where he graduated from Lansing Eastern High School in 1996. He studied pre-med at the University of Michigan-Flint. Phillip loved cats, especially Teddy. He worked as a bartender at Olive Garden where he was loved by his co-workers for infectious laugh and glowing smile. Phillip was known for his big heart, his giving spirit and his selflessness in helping others. He had an enormous love for his family and friends.
He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Cheryl Wood; grandparents, Diane Henry and James Wood and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Gary Gene Wing; grandfather, Richard Dick Henry; grandparents, Carl and Lucille Wing.
