Perry Carl Laury made his transition from his earthly journey on Thursday, October 4, 2012 at Covenant Healthcare Cooper. Perry was born September 9, 1957 in Saginaw, Michigan to Z.L. and Lillie Jackson Laury.
Perry accepted Christ at an early age. He was a member of the former First Christian Church Disciples of Christ in Saginaw, Michigan. He graduated from Saginaw High School, Class of 1975. He retired from Smurfit Stone Container Corporation after 12 years of service in 2002. Perry loved his music and sports. He stayed busy by always fixing things, he maintained his home and would take care of your home if you let him. Perry loved his entire family and would periodically check on them to make sure they were all right.
Perry leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 33 years, Doris Johnson Laury; two daughters, Trellis and Crystal both of Saginaw, Michigan; three sons, Perry II, Elliott, Zachary all of Saginaw, Michigan; mother, Lillie Laury Frazier, Saginaw, Michigan; two sisters, Vivian Spiller, Rosie Diggs both of Saginaw, Michigan; one brother, Rex Laury, Saginaw, Michigan; four adopted sisters, Monica, Reckandra, Keisha and Daisha Frazier all of Saginaw, Michigan; four adopted brothers, Darrell, Kentrez, Jonathan all of Saginaw, Michigan, Ronald Frazier, Texas; nine grandchildren; one uncle, King Jackson, Jr., Greenwood, Mississippi, three aunts, Ellen Laury, Saginaw, Michigan, Mary Ward and Virginia Laury both of Chicago, Illinois; father-in-law, Richard Johnson Sr., of Itta Bena, Mississippi; four brothers-in-law, Carl (Hattie) Johnson of Chicago, Illinois, Richard Johnson Jr., Toledo, Ohio, David Johnson, Itta Bena, Mississippi, Tracy (Sandra) Johnson, Baton Rouge, Louisiana; godmother, Carrie Williamson, Saginaw, Michigan; two goddaughters, Lataya Weems, Saginaw, Michigan, Kortnie Litfield, Raleigh, North Carolina; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Perry was preceded in death by his father, Z.L.; his daughter, Terri; mother-in-law, Glinnie; his granddaughter, Teneea; three brothers, James, Henry and Leon Laury.
