Patty Jo Laster

Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, Patty Jo Alexandra Laster, was called home to be with her heavenly Father on Sunday, February 13, 2022, at Covenant HealthCare Harrison in Saginaw, Michigan. Age 75 years. She was born on September 2, 1946 in Muskegon, Michigan, to Willie Alexander and Ollie Prince Laster.

Patty Jo was a resident of Saginaw, Michigan where she attended Saginaw Public Schools. She was a homemaker, and was employed in home healthcare. Patty’s favorite pastimes included reading, gardening, cooking, and listening to the Blues. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and being a mentor to many. Patty will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She leaves to cherish loving memories one daughter, Patricia Laster, and one son, Anthony Laster, both of Saginaw, Michigan; two stepchildren Monica (Derryl) Martin, Saginaw, Michigan; twenty-two grandchildren, DeMarkus, Kenny, Antoine (Ishia), Johnson, Rodney, LeAndrew, DeVarius, Cadora, Reginald (Shantaria), DeAndre(Destiny), Ellis, Keshia, Sahara, Javaris, Jermany, Antionette, Demetira, Anthony, Sha’Qayvis, Antwanique, Aria, and Antiono; fifty-two great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; two special friends Tiffany Eckles, and Megan Cherry.

Patty Jo was preceded in death by her mother, Ollie Prince Laster; father, Willie Alexander; two daughters, Serita and Pamela Laster; grandson, Doug Laster; and special friend, Rodney Clayton.
