Patricia Williams

Ms. Patricia Ann Williams, our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend to all, transitioned to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 22, 2009. She was born February 7, 1952 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama to the late Joseph and Doris Williams.
Patricia accepted Christ at an early age and has been an active member of Victorious Believers Ministries Church of God in Christ for 17 years. She served with dedication and passion as an usher. She was Usher of the Year on two separate occasions, serving with a warm and welcoming smile. She loved reading and spreading the Word of God constantly trying to win souls for the Lord.
She attended Chicago Public Schools and Malcolm X College after leaving Alabama. She migrated to Saginaw, Michigan in 1980 and obtained her C.N.A. license at Delta College. She was a loving and caring person, with a quiet spirit (A woman of faith who loved God, who walked by faith and not by sight). She loved her children, adored her grandchildren and family. Three of her favorite quotes were: (1) I BELIEVE GOD, (2) NO COMPLAINTS, JUST THANKS, and (3) TOO BLESSED TO BE STRESSED.
She leaves her children to cherish her memories: LaNetta Jefferson (St. Paul, MN), Lula Williams (Saginaw, MI) Rosalyn (Michael) Williams-Griffin (Lansing, MI) and Edward Williams (Chicago, IL); nine grandchildren, DaNaire, Charles Jr., Aaron, Aviance, Shaquille, Dominique, LaVarae, Edward III, and Tyrese; four great-grandchildren DaNaire, Jr., Domarious, Dazane, and Davonnie; three sisters, Lula Woodard and Dereneice Williams of Saginaw, Myra (Brian) Hoosier (Chicago, IL) and one brother Joseph (Valiry) Williams of Saginaw; three special aunts Josie, Martha and Willie Mae along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends including four very special friends, Diane Evans, Helen Baskin, Jake Carter, and Gary Rogers and many she loved that were not mentioned.
She was predeceased in death by her parents, grandparents, and two brothers Jimmy and McDonald.
Our mother and friend will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. The family would like to extend special thanks to Visiting Nurses, Covenant Health Care, Tendercare, Healthsource (Penny and Jackie), all her physicians and Victorious Believers Ministries family.
