Patricia Ann Scott

Patricia A. Scott passed away Thursday, November 8, 2012 at Covenant Healthcare-Cooper. Age 73 years. She was born December 8, 1938 in Sunflower, Mississippi to Mint E. and Inola (Miles) Sykes.
Pat was a member of New Life Baptist Church where she was faithful until her health failed. She confessed life at an early age at Baptist Grove Church in Sunflower, Mississippi. She retired from the YMCA and was involved in a number of activities in the church. She loved to cook and travel with her family.
She leaves to cherish her memory four daughters, Marva G. Kelly, Chicago, Illinois, Lynda Moore, Jackson, Mississippi, Glenda (Thomas) Hooper, Jackson, Mississippi, Michael (Rita) Moore, Chicago, Illinois, Tracey Moore and LaVail Scott, both of Saginaw, Michigan; grandchildren, Ronald, Anthony, Michael, Daniel, Stacey, Mariah, T'eona, Kelly; five great grandchildren, Cortiyah, Arius, Ronald, Treyvon, RaNaiyah; four sisters, Shinika A. Sykes, Salt Lake, Utah, Dorothy Brown, Defiance, Ohio, Brenda J. Lee, Fircrest, Washington, Cynthia (Bruce) Hall, Chicago, Illinois; four brothers, Emerson (Bobbie) Sykes, Saginaw, Michigan, Mint (Susie) Sykes, Chicago, Illinois, Sylvester (Ollie) Sykes, Louisville, Kentucky, Freddie (Denise) Sykes, Saginaw, Michigan; two aunts, Frankie B. Williams, Indianola, Mississippi, Leola Kelly, Chicago, Illinois; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends including special friends, the "Super Seniors" of New Life Baptist Church and her church family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, William, James Thomas, and Clarence Sykes.
