Pastor Absalom Smith, Sr.

May 3, 1954 — June 7, 2019

“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing” (II Timothy 4:7-8).

On Friday, June 7, 2019, God called his faithful servant, Pastor Absalom Smith, Sr. from labor to reward. He was faithful over a few things and is now ruler over many things enjoying the joy of the Lord.

He was a joyful and lively man with a wonderful sense of humor. He was selfless, giving, caring and compassionate, full of empathy and love.

Pastor Smith’s greatest joy was his family. He loved his children and adored his grandchildren. He has left a lasting legacy and the work he’s done definitely speaks for him. Well done good and faithful servant.
