Ora Lee (Jones) Nelson was called home to her Heavenly Father, September 30, 2017, in Saginaw, Michigan at the age of 64, after a lengthy illness. She was born to Carral and Mildred (Silvia) Jones on November 4, 1952 in Natchitoches, Louisiana.

Ora was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She was a retiree from General Motors with 31 years of service, and was a member of UAW Local 467. A devoted servant of God, with indescribable faith, Ora Lee was the head usher at New Christ Community; she displayed great passion for her church family.

Ora is survived by her husband, Billy Nelson; three daughters, Yolanda Nelson, Natashia Nelson, Chanda (Donnell) Martin; ten grandchildren; goddaughter, Alonda Silvia; twin brother, Henry (Pam) Jones of Los Angeles, California; sister, Ann (Larry) Jones, Michigan; Virginia Tate, Louisiana; sisters-in-law who loved her very dearly, Martha (Edward) Franklin, Nancy (Henry) Johnson, Dorothy (Eddie) Tarver, Michigan, Regina Nelson, Texas, Renee Nelson, Michigan; brothers-in-law, Micheal (Christine) Nelson and Clifton Griffin, Michigan; aunts, Melviner Bailey, Louisiana, Nora Silvia, Michigan, Doris Silvia, Louisiana; special nephew, Derrick Johnson whom she helped raise and loved dearly; Joseph and Eefrom Jones; niece, Sylvia Jones, and many other nieces and nephews; special cousin, Patsy Stewart; best friend, Monique Lamar-Silvia; special friends, Ronald (Barbara) Reese and Belinda (Reginald) Booker.

She was preceded in death by grandparents, Reverend Tom and Carrie Silvia; parents, mother, Mildred (Silvia) Jones, dad, Carral Jones; mother-in-law, Annie Nelson; brother-in-law, David Nelson; best friend, Rosie Watson and many other relatives.
