Olga (Lansing) Olowolafe

May 4, 1957 — September 18, 2015

On Friday, September 18, 2015 Ms. Olga Olowolafe gained her Heavenly wings and flew into the arms of Jesus. She was born May 4, 1957 in Chicago, Illinois to Dorothy and Shabazz Muhammad.
Olga attended and graduated from South Haven Public Schools. She later received an Associates Degree from Lansing Community College in Business Administration. Olga had been employed by Michigan State University in a variety of roles for the past 36 years. Most recently she worked as an Administrator for the Department of Pediatrics and Human Development in the MSU College of Human Medicine.
Olga truly had a golden heart and was a faithful servant of the Lord. So many lives were touched by Olga and she found joy in helping others. Whether it was Sunday school teaching, mission trips, volunteering, music, jail ministry or attending her childrens events, she took the time to really be a part of peoples lives. Her warm smile and infectious laugh will never be forgotten.
Olga is survived by her mother, Dorothy Muhammad, as well as her children, Olufemi Olowolafe, Oluseyi Olowolafe, and Hadiyah Olowolafe. She is also survived by her siblings, Ragode Singleton, Noel Novarra, Hajile Mitchell, Banar Singleton, Aquan Singleton, Nusun Singleton, Vizier Singleton, Shabazz Novarra, and Quintessence Muhammad.
Olga was preceded in death by her father, Shabazz Muhammad.
