Nickolas Deshawn Jefferson

Mr. Nickolas DeShawn Jefferson passed away on Monday, March 21, 2022, at Detroit Children's Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. Age 18 years. Nickolas DeShawn Jefferson was born on September 25, 2003, in Saginaw, Michigan, to Ruthie and Brian Jefferson.

Nickolas’s name means “victory of the people” and to have known him was to love him. Nickolas never met a person who wasn’t in awe of him and his strength. Nickolas was a member of Greater Solid Rock Ministry and a proud Saginaw High School Trojan, Class of 2022.

Nickolas lived an independent life and never let his health dictate his choices. He always spoke his mind but had a generous heart and soul. Nickolas was family-oriented and very protective of those he loved. Nickolas had a love of fashion, shoes, and jewelry. He was very particular about his food but loved seafood and Menudo. He loved music and the artists NBA Youngboy, and Jay Da Youngan. Nickolas loved the WWE and would attend shows at the Dow Event Center. He would watch scary movies and documentaries all night.

Nickolas leaves to cherish his memory: parents, Ruthie and Brian Jefferson; ten sisters, LaToya Burnside, Debra (Fredrick) Hunter Sr., Enchantee Jefferson, Charneecia Jefferson, Tyesha DeWeaver, Rachelle Pittman, SaVanna Lee, Jaleeiah Davis, JohnToya Baber and Hailee Jefferson; two brothers,  MacArthur (Chanta) Burnside, and Brian Williams; three uncles, Arthur Burnside Jr., Michael Jefferson, and Darrell Jones; two great-aunts, Julia Jefferson, and Christina Jefferson; two great-uncles, William Jefferson, and Moses Jefferson Jr.; sixteen nieces; eleven nephews; many other relatives and friends, including special friends godmother, Margaret Dorsey; godsister, Mattie Williams, Tania Jones, Brenda Wilson, Debra Lane, Michelle Thomas, and Gladys Craion.

Nickolas was preceded in death by his grandparents, and aunt.

I would like to thank Nickolas' biological mother, Tina Gary, for giving me 18 of the best years of my life.
