Naomi R Bandy

Mrs. Naomi R. Bandy Polly our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend departed this life on January 18, 2010 after a lengthy illness with her husband at her side. Naomi R. Cook was born to Gussie and Buela Mae Cook on July 12, 1940 in Seminole, OK.
Naomi was baptized on January 18, 1964 at Tabernacle Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. R. B. Austin and she was still a member at the time of her illness. She was united with Willie J. Bandy on December 8, 1974. She loved taking care of her grandchildren and her dogs, cooking, shopping, traveling, getting her hair and nails done and driving fast. She never met a stranger, she was a joy to all who loved her, she was funny. She was employed at Valsic Pickles, Bismark Bar, Nodular Iron and Grey Iron where she retired from.
She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Willie J. Bandy of 36 years; four sons and four daughters, Renwick (Audre) Cook, Rowena (Ducky Charels) Stigger, Alene D. Scott, Sheryl E. Standford, Terry Pought, Marcia (Robert) Weems, Derrick (Crystal) Bandy and Micheal Bandy; twenty-five grandchildren, Sharonda, Kandice, Asha, Leon, Chuck, Tremonish, RaeQuin, Kyara, Alexis, Tierra, RiAunna, Octavia, Barbara, Christina, Cassandra, Nichols, Brandy, Chirstoper, Obie, Gilbert, Carl, Nicole, Courtney, Treye and Janeel; four great grandchildren, Sidney, Tyler, RneAunna, and RaeQuin; five sisters, Revella (Ozella) Lewis, Nanette Hamilton, Vickie Cook, Loretta Riggins and Cynthia Pennewall; five brothers, Jerry (Oria) Cook, Alvin Cook, Freddie Cook, Jeffery Cook and Alex Cook and many godchildren, other relatives and friends including special friends, Aunt Doris, Maudine Johnson, Louise Jones, Gladys Fields and Joe Brittian.
Naomi was preceded in death by her parents, Gussie and Buela Mae Cook; sister, Darice Reynolds; brothers, James Cook and Lee McHenry Cook; two nieces; two nephews; and two aunts, Emma Wright and Pinkie Warren.
We the family of Naomi R. Bandy would like to give our deepest appreciation to the physicians and nurses at Covenant Healthcare Cooper on the 3rd and 4th floor for all their care for our loved one and the nurses at Caretel Nursing Home. We would like to thank Renee Kaiser and Mary Morgan for all there care in our time of need.
