January 3, 1975 — September 9, 2020

Ms. NaKinah Demeria Bonds was born January 3, 1975 in Lansing, Michigan, the daughter of James H. Mildton, III and Pamela L. Bonds. She completed her earthly journey on Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at the age of 45 years.

NaKinah was a lifelong resident of Lansing, Michigan. She attended Dwight Rich Middle School and Sexton High School. After high school, she studied nursing and pursued a career in healthcare. She worked as a Nurses’ Assistant in various nursing homes across the city. On September 28, 2019, she confessed a faith in Christ and joined Seventh Day Adventist Church under the leadership of Pastor Dani Carmona.

NaKinah developed a love of cooking from her grandmother. She enjoyed watching cooking shows and trying new recipes. With a love for fashion and interior design, she enjoyed Project Runway and home remodeling shows on HGTV. More than anything, NaKinah loved to spend time with her children and play with her grandchildren. Her cooking, nurturing spirit and love for family will truly be missed.
