Mother Percy Jean Simon passed away on Saturday, November 27, 2021, at Covenant Healthcare in Saginaw, Michigan. Age 82 years. She was born on December 11, 1938, in Greenville, Mississippi to Tom and Clora Wilbourn.

Mother Percy Jean was a resident of Saginaw, Michigan. She was a 1995 graduate of Agape Faith Fellowship Bible Training Center, post graduate School of Nursing, Chicago, Illinois, Licensed Cosmetologist, and a retiree from Saginaw Steering Gear. She was affiliated with UAW Local 499. Mother Percy Jean loved caring for all her sweet babies. She loved cooking, and her specialty was Seafood Gumbo. She also enjoyed fishing, reading her Bible, and quoting scriptures. She was a woman of great faith.

She leaves to cherish loving memories her husband, Robert Simon, Sr., Saginaw, Michigan; four daughters and four sons, Cloretha Wilbourn, Elsie (Carl) Lane, Cebrena Jennifer (Marvin) Sanders, Derrall (Diane) Simon, Clifford (Tawnya) Simon, Michigan Robert (Lisa) Simon, California, Yvette “YaYa” Green, Michael (LaDonna) Simon, Georgia; grandchildren, Deante Simon, Charles Smith III, Texas, TaKeisha Price, Shayla Sanders, Jodie Jones, Ashley Fife, Robin Turner, Cloretha Simon, Monique Simon, Derrall Simon Jr, Derrick Voltz, Shameka Hubbard, Lakeisha Purifoy, Isaiah Lane, Michigan, Lavita Simon, Michaela Simon, Samara Simon, Georgia, Carl Lane Jr., Tennessee, Olivia Jones, Jermaine Jones, California, Clifford Simon, Jr., Ashley Gray, Wisconsin; 35 great-grandchildren; sister, Bourah Jean Cook, Mississippi; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many other relatives and friends; including a special relative, Elton Simmons, sister-in-law, Ella Simmons, and a special friend, Toni Pittman.

Mother Percy Jean was preceded in death by her parents Tom and Clora Wilbourn, sons, Harry Hubbard Sr., and Timmie Lee, brothers, Kye Simmons, Alonzo Simmons, and cousin, Mack Ketching.

The family wishes to express special thanks to Covenant Harrison 2nd and 7th floor staff, Ivan E. Phillips, and staff of Paradise Funeral Chapel.
