Mother Bertha Mae Webb (Bay City)

November 15, 1930 — July 9, 2021

Bertha Mae (Oliver) Webb was called to eternal peace on Friday, July 9, 2021 at the age of 90 years. She was surrounded by love and her family. Our beloved mother was born to Daniel and Savannah Oliver on November 15, 1930 in Parkin Cross, Arkansas. She was the second of six children.

Our mother accepted Christ at an early age. She later met the love of her life, Marvon, in Arkansas and moved to Michigan. She was a resident of Carrollton Township and a member of Clearstone Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and a devoted wife and mother.

Mama had a love for cooking and some would say she was one of the best cooks in the world. Bertha always opened her heart and her door to anyone that was in need in the family or the neighborhood. She had enough love and shared her motherly love with so many. She also loved to do quilting, gardening, and yard work; those things were a big part of her characteristics.

Bertha was preceded in death by her husband Marvon Webb, Sr.; one son, Marvon Webb, Jr.; parents, Daniel and Savannah Oliver; one sister, Ruthie Oliver; four brothers, Henry, Fed, Daniel and Jeb Oliver.

She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Peggy (Bernard) Reed, Pamela Webb; three sons, Larry (Rosemarie) Webb, Lonnie (Leslie) Webb, Vincent (Sharon) Webb; fifteen grandchildren, Desmond (Tanny) Laury, Deverand (Stephanie) Laury, MeKale Laury, April (Ricky) Garcia, Porsha Webb, Kelvian Hudson, VonDrea, VonNisha, Fitzgerald D., Dyamante L. and Vionte’ Webb, Eric Walker, Desare L. Webb, Edrik Walker, Danyall N. Watkins, Michael Ducre, Savannah Webb; sisters-in-law, Laura Webb, Mary Lee Frazier, Bernice Williams and Edna Webb; many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
