Our beloved wife, mother, sisterand friend, Monique L. Edwards passed away Monday, October 14, 2013. Age 42 years. She was born May 31, 1971 in Inkster, Michigan to Theresa Mundy and Freddie L. Parker.
Monique was baptized at the age of 19 at Apostolic Tower of Power Temple. She graduated from Hamilton J Robichaud High School in Inkster, Michigan. She attended Douglas J. Academy for Cosmetology. Formerly employed as a Pharmacy Technician, also previously employed within the Petroleum Industry and Adult Foster Care Service and most importantly Monique was a homemaker for the last ten years. Monique loved helping people anyway she could. She was a strong believer in Christ. She loved her children and her husband Jerome of ten years dearly.
She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Jerome Anthony Edwards, Sr.; five daughters, Jeriyah Ann Edwards, Janayia Theresa Edwards, Jade Monique Edwards, Jacqueline Natalie Edwards and Jocelyn Aliyah Edwards; four sons, William Jamal Roberts, Jerome Anthony Edwards Jr., Jon Nathaniel Edwards and Jalen Alexander Edwards; three step-daughters, Charlotte Marie Edwards, Monica Rose Edwards and Kyonna Karyn-Joy Edwards; her grandmother, Jazzy Bell Mundy; five step -sisters, Penny Marlow, Jennifer Anderson, Tamaria (Jamil) Powell, Maya Jordan, and Keisha (Tang) Parker; three step-brothers, Freddie Lamont Parker II, Donnell Williams and Lamont Kenta Parker; mother and father- in - law, Bishop Nathaniel Edwards Sr. and Diane C, Edwards; seven sisters-in-law, Jean (Kevin) Pinkard, Natalie James, Karen (Bernard) Prince, Diane Edwards of Connecticut, Dawn (Noland) Kellum of Haslett, Donna (Norman) Grinstead of Detroit and Julonia Edwards; five brothers-in law, Nathaniel Jr (Loraine) Edwards of Ypsilanti, William Edwards, John D. Edwards of Detroit, Haywood Sr. ( Kassaundra) Edwards, and Jason A.(Simone) Edwards of Detroit.
Monique is preceded in death by her mother Theresa A Mundy, father Freddie Parker and brother John Mundy. The family would like to express a special thanks to Apostolic Tower of Power, Advantage Hospice, True Churches of the Apostolic Faith and everyone who offered kind words, condolences, prayers and love shown to us during our time of bereavement.
