Mary Louise Mcdaniel

February 1, 1930 — July 11, 2020

Mary Louise McDaniel was born February 1, 1930 in Florence, Alabama, the daughter of Willie and Louise Carroll. She went from labor to reward after 90 beautiful years on Saturday, July 11, 2020.

Mary accepted Christ and was baptized at an early age. She was a member of Christ Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church. She was a loving and caring mother of seven children and a mother figure to many in her church and community.

Mary retired from Vlasic Foods. She enjoyed sewing and making beautiful floral arrangements. She also loved watching the food network, cooking and baking. Mary was known for her Butter Pecan cookies or “Mur’s Cookies”, that she would bake at Christmas time. You could never eat just one! Mary had a soft sense of humor that would certainly make you laugh. Her advice to all was to “Take care of yourself.” We find peace in knowing that God is now taking care of her and she is safe in the Master’s arms.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, James McDaniel; son, Willie James McDaniel; parents, Willie and Louise Carroll; grandsons, Kevin McDaniel, Darrell McDaniel Jr.; granddaughter, Shalan Williams; great-grandson, Anjel Bond; father and mother-in-law, John and Margaret McDaniel; brothers and sisters-in-law, John T. and Lillie McDaniel, Reverend Frank and Cyntonia Roach, Emmitt and Nancy Doxie, Thomas and Fannie B. Doxie, Mildred, Joseph and Frances McDaniel.

She leaves beautiful memories with six children, Coeinth (Pamela) McDaniel, Saginaw, Michigan, Carroll (Johnnie) Green, Houston, Texas, Sheila (Ernest) White, Pearland, Texas, Lynnette (John) Bond, Darrell McDaniel, both of Saginaw, Michigan, Alex McDaniel, Grand Rapids, Michigan; grandchildren, Michelle (Ron) Hill, Grand Blanc, Michigan, Dameon Green, Houston, Texas, Virtrina (Charles) Johnson, Loretta Buell, Joshua (Andrea) Bond, all of Saginaw, Michigan, Jevin Bond, Niceville, Florida, Donte McDaniel, Kim Powell, Swann Feagin, DeRhonda Wilson, all of Saginaw, Michigan, Quavis McDaniel, Muskegon, Michigan; fifteen great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grand children; brothers-in-law, Harold (Barbara), William McDaniel; sister-in-law, Nazola (John) Morgan; goddaughter, Lorane Dorsey; many other relatives and friends including special friends Edith Holmes, Peggy Haulcy, Dorothy Brewer and Willie Ruth Morris.
