Mary E Trice

June 27, 1952 — April 9, 2011

God called home our loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter Maryetta Trice home to sleep in Christ on April 9, 2011. She succumbed to a lengthy illness at Covenant Healthcare in Saginaw, Michigan.
Mary was born in Tuscaloosa, AL on June 27, 1952 to L.C. Sr. and Lois E. Hall. She moved to Saginaw, MI in 1968 and married Manvel Trice Jr. on September 3, 1973. She was employed with General Motors for 13 years and retired in1985 for medical reasons. In 1982, she was diagnosed with lupus and battled this disease throughout the remainder of her life. Through multiple illnesses she remained an active member of Bethlehem Temple Church, serving as a devoted missionary currently under the leadership of Elder Curtis E. Johnson. Her favorite pastime was creating special memories with her husband, children and grandchildren. She was also an avid gardener; she loved being outdoors working in her yard. Mary loved a tidy house; from the curtilage surrounding the house to the drinking glasses in the cupboard cleanliness was not an option.it was a necessity.
Sister Mary Trice believed and confessed her faith in Christ, was buried in water baptism in the name of Jesus and received the infilling of the Holy Spirit in 1978 in Saginaw at the age of 26. This virtuous woman was actively involved in the church and was devoted to all she did. She served as church secretary, president of the birthday group, Sunday school teacher, vice president of the transportation committee, vice-president of the usher board and numerous other committees. She loved the work of furthering the kingdom of Christ and affected others by her infectious attitude and genuine love. She always made it a point to tell her children Dont worry about me, I will be okay, just take care of yourself. Her love, generosity, kindness and selflessness will sorely be missed by those who knew and loved her, but her legacy will live through her family and the lives of those she touched.
Mary is survived by her husband, Manvel Trice Jr.; three children, Roderick (Flavee) Trice, St. Paul, MN, Tangila Trice, Ann Arbor, MI, Manvel (Caressa) Trice III, Saginaw, MI, three grandchildren, David Mackey, St. Paul, MN, Jonathan Trice, Tampa, FL, Jasmin Trice, Ann Arbor, MI; mother, Lois Hall, Tuscaloosa, AL; one sister, Loretta (Joe) Jones, Elyria, OH; one brother, Rev.
