Margaret Jean King

At an early age, Margaret moved to Detroit, Michigan where she met the love of her life and companion for 47 years, Ceser Powell (Shorty). Later Margaret and Ceser moved to Saginaw, Michigan where their son Christopher (Scotty) was born March 12, 1971. She obtained her diploma from Saginaw Adult High School on June 3, 1982. Margaret earned numerous titles of Employee of the Month while she was employed at Saginaw General Hospital in the Nutrition Services Department. Margaret retired from Covenant Healthcare-Harrison after 25 years of service. She loved to perform volunteer work whenever possible. She was always smiling and lending a helping hand to anyone in need. Margaret was an outspoken person who was a gem to everyones life she touched. She was always going an extra mile to put a smile on someones face. Margaret loved gardening, fishing and feeding her special pets. Margaret leaves to cherish her memory her companion, Ceser Powell; one son, Christopher (Tammi) King, Detroit, Michigan; two step-children, Ceser Powell Jr., Ronnie Powell; grandchildren, Christopher King Jr., Zariya King, Monique King, Christaysha King, Marcus Pledger; five sisters, Cathie Gully, Annie Mae Lee, Mary Bandover, Debra Madden, including a special sister, Annette; one brother, Jimmy King Jr.; many other relatives and friends including special nieces, Renee McCrary and Ebony Hoffman, special friend, Beverly Nevitt. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jimmy and Susie King; two sisters, Dorothy Cartwright, Nancy Cottrell; three brothers, Norman King, Johnny, King, Albert King; one step-son, Kevin Powell
