Marcos Claudio (Lansing)

Our beloved father, Marcos Claudio passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 1, 2023, at the age of 86 years. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Marcos was born in Cayey, Puerto Rico on January 26, 1937. He was one of twelve children born to his parents Juan and Felicita Claudio. Although he spent his younger years travelling between New York, Florida, Michigan and Chicago, his heart always belonged to his beautiful birth island of Puerto Rico. His joy of cooking Puerto Rican food led to him always being in high demand to cater Weddings and parties which mixed two of his favorite things, Food and Family! Marcos will also be remembered for his love of singing praises to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He would enjoy singing dancing and playing his maracas to the gospels of the church where he truly was the happiest when he attended.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 12 years Ramona; children, Diana Claudio, Rusty "Joe" Claudio, Sonia Claudio, Jeanette Claudio, Miriam (Onorio) Lopez, and Antonio (Tina) Villarreal Jr.; nineteen grandchildren; forty-six great grandchildren; sister Luz Maria Claudio; brother Angel Claudio, and an abundance of loving extended family.

He was preceded in death by his sons, David and William Claudio; grandson, David Marcos Ray; great-grandson, Jakobe Claudio; great-granddaughter, Breanna Ray; and his parents, Juan and Felicita Claudio.
