Marcheeto "Mickey" Lavender

January 26, 1960 — September 30, 2021

Marcheeto “Mickey” Lavender transitioned home on Thursday, September 30, 2021, in Saginaw, Michigan. She was born January 26, 1960, in Tuscaloosa, Alabama to E.B. and Annie Lavender.

Mickey attended Saginaw public schools and was a graduate of M.J. Murphy Beauty school. She was employed at Innerlink for Youth. Marcheeto loved working with youth, arts and crafts, as well as educating toddlers in the classroom. She also enjoyed playing cards with her poker club, watching SpongeBob, and having family time filled with games, crafts and singing. Marcheeto will be greatly missed.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her daughter, Coraltila “Coco” Lavender (Stefan Rowe); son, Terrance Dallas Gentry (Ashlie Beckman); grandchildren, Terrance Dallas Gentry, Jr., Atlanta, Georgia; Makinna Beckman and Tamarii Dallas Gentry, Pontiac, Michigan; mother, Annie S. Lavender; siblings, Jacques’ling Lavender, Brenda (Tommie) Jackson, and Betty Coleman, Alabama; brother, Isadore McGee, Alabama; uncle, James Foster; aunt, Maggie Bell Crook; many other relatives and friends including special friends, god sisters, Nekeia “Star” Hopkins and Andrea Smith; godson, Tommie “Storm” Jackson Jr.

Marcheeto was proceeded in death by her father, E.B. Lavender, grandparents, E.D. Lavender, Annie Bell Lavender, Arthur Foster and Volina Foster.
