Marcellus (Lansing) Love

Marcellus Marc" Love was born to the late Marsellus Love and Lorrane Magby Love in Detroit, MI on May 13th, 1948. Marc was one of seven children and lived a full life serving in the United States Marine Corp as Military Personnel during the Vietnam War from 1967-1969. Marc received the following awards and medals: National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal with Device, Combat Action Ribbon with Air Medal, Riflesharp ShooterBadge, Vietnam Service Medal w/2* and Combat Air Crew Insig w/3*

Marc joined Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church in 1979 under Emeritus Rev. Arcellius E. Flanagan and served faithfully answering his call into the ministry first as a Deacon (1980), Minister (1983), Ordained (1984). Marc followed the call of the Lord and began his marketplace ministry through Harvest House Ministry (1988/96) and later became an Ordained United Methodist Minister (1994) and served as Clergy with Christ United Methodist Church (1994/1998).

Marc worked for General Motors form 1976-2006 and graduated from Lansing Community College in 1994 with a General Associate Degree. Marc loved to fish, hunt, boat and work on his ideas that he often sent off to the US Patent office. Marc loved the arts, plays and he loved music.

Marc leaves to cherish his children Mary (Terrell) Harris, Marcus Love, Alex (Markiea) Love, born to the union of LouElla Love and Amber Love born to the union of Lorri Love. His grandchildren Dekyra (Red), Mikyeale (Micky), Tyrell, Unique, Isaiah, Anyala, Alex Jr. (Mr.) Alexianna, Aniya, Anasia. His great-grandchildren Daymon, Alina and Amari. His brothers Lawson, Allen (Donnie), sister Tina (David), Kellie and a host of nieces and nephews.
