Manuel Hernandez

Mr. Manuel Romaro Hernandez Jr. departed this earthly life on Monday, January 4, 2016 at the age of 22 years. He was born September 16, 1993 in Saginaw, Michigan to Valerie Guerrero and Manuel Romaro Hernandez Sr.


Manuel was a lifelong resident of Saginaw, Michigan. He enjoyed basketball, making music and writing. Manuel loved spending quality time with his family and friends, especially his son who meant the world to him. Manuel was loving, happy, outgoing and genuine. He had a very kind heart. Manuel was not a greedy or self-centered young man. He would give his last to those he cared about. Manuels last words were, Im a soldier. His presence will be truly missed by everyone who loved him.


He leaves to cherish his memory one son, Manuel R. Hernandez III; parents, Valerie Guerrero and Manuel Hernandez Sr.; four sisters, Crystal Hernandez, Kandi Hernandez, Saylezcia Trumble and Stephanie Hernandez; two brothers, Michael Hernandez and Zachary Hernandez; many nieces and nephews whom he loved as his own; ten aunts, Kelly Delacruz, Lisa Smith, Vickie Garza, Iris Cavazos, Sally (Carlos) Cirilo, Tommie Torrez, Lupe Guerra, and Delores Limon; eight uncles, Leonard (Martha) Hernandez, Tony Hernandez, Jesse (Alice) Hernandez, Joe (Delia) Hernandez, Robert Hernandez, Joe Garza, Jimmy Garza and Dennis Smith; cousins, the Rueda Family, Hernandez family, Garza family, Delacruz family, Rodriguez family, Limon family, Cirilo family, Cavazos family, Ruiz family and the Osuna family; two very special cousins, Crystal Garza and Jose Rueda; many other relatives and friends including special friends, Carrie Tillman, Tabitha Burton and Star Wells.

Manuel was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jose and Corina Garza, Leonard Sr. and Roberta Hernandez, two uncles, Joe Garza, Jr. and Rick Saucedo and a cousin, Michael Smith.

The family would like to express special thanks to everyone who offered kind words, condolences and prayers.
