Louis Peoples

June 5, 1945 — November 6, 2019

Mr. Louis Peoples was born June 5, 1945 in Mayersville, Mississippi to Frank and Rose Peoples. He entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, November 6, 2019. Age 74 years.

Louis, affectionately called “Lucky Lou”, was a hard worker and believed that if a man didn’t work, he didn’t eat. He was employed with the General Motors Corporation for many years before retiring. He had a farm that he worked and tilled. As a farmer, some years and seasons were worse than others and required more work, but Louis kept on going and worked through the tough times in order to produce food for his family and community.

Louis was a serious man. He was a family man that loved his children and grandchildren. He loved cooking and the outdoors, especially fishing, farming and gardening. The man had a green thumb and could grow anything. Lucky Lou was a blessing to our family and his presence will surely be missed.

Louis was preceded in death by his former spouse, Jerri Butler; parents, Frank and Rose Peoples; grandson, Patrick Brown, Jr.; sisters, Alice Rash, Lizzett Rowland, Roberta White, Mary Knox, Freddie People, Patricia Peoples; brothers, Amos and Adam Peoples; sister-in-law, Betty O’Neal; brother-in-law, Eddie Sims.

He leaves precious memories with his wife, Levada Peoples; eleven children, Joseph Peoples, Willie Sims, Patricia Sims, James Peoples, Antionio Peoples, Aletha Peoples, Khaydia Peoples, Louis Peoples, Jr., Angela Tate, Shontel Sanders, Frances McFee; grandchildren, Takeasha, Saquita, OShay, Latrice, Charlie Peoples, Aletha, James McFee, Niashia Peoples, Patricia “Peanut” Brown, Alize Peoples, Jamika Brown, Veronica Peoples, Iesha, Marco, Kingston, Makila, Kahdjia Peoples, Izona McFee; brothers, Henry, Willie and Robert Peoples; special nephews, Frederick Rogers, Jerry Sims; sisters-in-law, Ruth and Shirley Rogers; brothers-in-law, Charlie Rogers, George Sanders; many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends, including special friends Terrell, Dog Man, Larry, Bobbie Sims and Arthur Campbell.

The family would like to express special thanks to everyone who has supported the family during this difficult time, Schiavone AFC Home, Ivan E. Phillips and the Staff of Paradise Funeral Chapel.
