Lorenzo D'Wayne Jiles

January 14, 1996 — December 22, 2017

Lorenzo D’Wayne Jiles, known as Ren to most and Hot Boy to some, made his debut on January 14, 1996. He was a Tony Morgan and Alisha Jiles production; the first of two to this union.

Ren attended Saginaw Township Schools where he was very popular and had many friends. He was grateful for the support and encouragement of the educators in the district, particularly Mr. Roy Neal, Mr. Tim Connolly, and Mrs. Kim Cole.

After attending school, Ren auditioned for a number of jobs with various fast food restaurants in the Saginaw area. He worked at several different establishments for varying lengths of time. Ren had unrealized ambition to play a number of roles while on life’s stage; among them, NBA player, mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter, Army soldier and actor. Lorenzo defied tradition and was a quick-witted, outspoken, headstrong individual that never backed down from conflict and loved his family unconditionally. Ren was saved and knew God’s Word for himself. He was a lifetime member of Candlelight Baptist Church in Saginaw, Michigan where he participated with youth activities, choirs and worship services. All in all, Ren was a character who loved life, and was protective of his family and closest friends. Anyone who knew Lorenzo often said that he missed his calling as a stand-up comedian.

Lorenzo took his final bow, on this stage, in the early hours of December 22, 2017. He leaves longing for more his parents, Tony and Alisha Morgan; four siblings, Alyx-Zander D. Jiles, Katoya Brewer-Morgan, Torreyonal Scroggins, Marviana Morgan, and his grandparents Jim and Helen (Dyson) Jiles and Catherine Raines; his Godparents, Kathy Hamilton and Uncle Patrick Dyson; aunts, Anitra (Avery) Frazier, Cathy (Damien) Malcolm, and Tabbie Campbell; uncles, Jimmy (Stacy) Jiles, Anthony Jiles, Cottrell (Siberina) Jiles, Nathan (Amanda) Fentress, and Mario Campbell; a host of great-aunts, great-uncles, cousins, nieces and friends.

Lorenzo was preceded in death by two very special women, his grandma, Aunt Idella White and his great-grandmother, Carollne Pruitt.
