Lisa Rucker Seals

February 2, 1967 — September 18, 2019

Mrs. Lisa Rucker Seals went home to be with her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at her residence. She was born February 2, 1967 in Forrest City, Arkansas to Robert Rucker Sr. and Irma Lee Brantley.

Lisa lived most of her life in Saginaw, Michigan. She was a student of Saginaw Public Schools and a graduate of Saginaw High School, “Class of 1986.” She overcame addiction and after one year after of sobriety, she gave her life to the Lord.

Lisa worked with Sister Marietta at Emmaus House for twenty-seven years as a Program Director. She was a living testimony of what a fighter and survivor looked like. She encouraged and guided people from all walks of life at Emmaus House. She often shared her story, struggles and triumphs as she supported people with love. She was a shining light for many during their darkest days. She will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Lisa was preceded in death by her daughter, April Marie Rucker; parents, Robert Rucker Sr. and Irma Brantley; sister, Sandra Smith; brother, Willie Lytle Jr.; grandparents, Walter and Mary Brantley; father-in-law, Travis O. Prince.

She leaves precious memories with her husband, Travis O. Seals; children, Tanisha (Robert) Brown, Kansas City, Missouri, Allen Gregory Jones, Robert Darrell Rucker; stepchildren, TraVana and Marcellus Seals, Arlington, Texas; grandchildren, Zachery, Amazing Rucker, Allen Gregory Jones, Jr., all of Saginaw, Michigan, ZaKenia and Zamarion Brown, Kansas City, Missouri; sisters, Sharon Larry, West Memphis, Arkansas, Jacqueline Lytle Jones, Saginaw, Michigan; brother, Kenneth (Trina) Lytle; aunts, Elizabeth Pierson, Lillie Mae Wilson; uncle, Bob Frye; godsons, Jeremiah Lindsey, Reginald McNare; mother-in-law, Sara Johnson; many nieces, nephews, cousins, godchildren, other relatives and friends, including special friends Tina Lindsey Watley, Rita Wilson, Patricia Wilson, Yolonda Cooper, Dora Cooper and Kenyatta Evans.

The family would like to express special thanks to Zachary Rucker and Jamika Lytle for their presence, love and support, Annette Williams, Destiny Wilson, Debra Templeton, Pastor Mestisha Castleberry, Ivan E. Phillips and the Staff of Paradise Funeral Chapel.
