Linda Lou Baker

August 7, 1955 — November 16, 2016

Linda Lou Baker, affectionately known as Momma Linda, was born August 7, 1955 in Detroit Michigan. She was the daughter of Jack and Arvilla Wolfe. Linda received her first degree in early childhood education at West Shore Community College in Scottsville, Michigan. She operated in many capacities as an Early Head Start Specialist for Five Cap, Inc. Her love for youth transcended many boundaries as she imparted a living legacy to all that she knew. Serving as the Sunday School Superintendent for the United Methodist Church of Manistee, and a Sunday School instructor for Living Waters Christian Church, Momma Linda served tirelessly and selflessly, as a champion for youth.

As a person who strived to be in the move of God, she joined her home church, Kingdom Life Ministries International in 2007 under the leadership of Apostle Alvernis Johnson and Pastor Shantell Johnson, whom she held in the highest regards in her heart. For years, she worked closely with the youth pastors, Andrae' and Kendra Sweeney. She created, developed and implemented strong and solid curricula, showcasing her love for the Lord and the youth of the ministry. She cultivated an extraordinary atmosphere of honor, love and respect in the hearts and lives of everyone who worked alongside her as she continued her ministry of helps in the Youth Department. Momma Linda loved everyone unconditionally and was loved the same.

Linda was a person whose faith in God superseded anything else. A mere hug from her would provide so much comfort and ease to the broken-hearted. As an unselfish vessel, even up to the point of her transition, she was interceding and ministering salvation and redemption to those whose paths had crossed hers. Her heart, above all else, was for the youth of all ages. Knowing she needed to prepare the next generation to spearhead a move of God, she effortlessly and generously gave everything she could to minister and impart wisdom, knowledge and spiritual gifts. As an intercessor and a General in God's army, many lives have been, and will continue to be touched and transformed by the mantles she has given us. She had an undying passion for prayer and worship. Linda was willing to do whatever it took to press into the presence of God and made sure to connect with those of like-minded faith, commitment and trust in God.

Linda had a deep love for family, especially her grand-babies. One thing she is certainly leaving them is the love for the Food Network Television Station. Her passion for baking birthed her thriving business called the Saginaw Fudge Company, where she immediately became known in the Great Lakes Bay Region for her delicious peanut butter and triple chocolate fudge.

On Wednesday, November 16th, 2016, Linda put on her final Robe of Glory as the valiant General took flight. Preceding her in death were her loving parents, Jack and Arvilla Wolfe. Left to continue her legacy are her children Todd Baker, Jamie (Ryan) Guillen, Julie Baker; brother, Gregory Wolfe; grandchildren, Elijah Baker, Noah Baker, and Kristy Baker (the mother of Elijah and Noah) and a company of loving aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
