Lessie moved to Detroit, Michigan in 1938 and attended a school of cosmetology. She married A.C. Foster who predeceased her in death in 1980. Lessie was a strong, praying Christian woman and faithful servant of God. She attended Church of God of Detroit and Faith Harvest Church in Saginaw, Michigan, always demonstrating love, encouragement, godly character and wisdom. She loved traveling, playing bingo, watching Judge Judy, and spending time with her family and friends.
Her memory will be cherished by three daughters, Melissa (Dennis) Cabine of Saginaw, Michigan, Felicia Byrd of Detroit, Michigan, and Lolitta Foster of Columbus, Ohio; three sons, Raymond and Matthew Foster of Detroit, Michigan and Daniel ( Brenda) Foster of Saginaw, Michigan; seven grandchildren, Arthur C. Foster, Jr., Danielle Foster, Jahon (Nikeya) Cabine, Shawn, Antwan and Demitrus Byrd, Jakesa Jones; one sister-in-law, Lucille Batts; special nieces, Ruth Jackson, Marie Gillespie and special friends, Sally Bearden and Charlene Cabine; special adopted daughters, Janet Grays, Georgia Suttice, Lolita Sharp; many other great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Lessie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband A.C. Foster, son Arthur Foster and granddaughters, Gail and Chantal Foster, her three brothers and three sisters.
