Leontine "Tina" Harlin (East Lansing)

Ms. Leontine "Tina" Patricia Zenobia Harlin passed away Saturday, April 16, 2022, at McLaren Greater Lansing in Lansing, Michigan. Age 56 years.  She was born on January 9, 1966, to Bertha Harlin and Moses "George" Redmond in Chicago, Illinois in Cook County Hospital.

Tina attended Cassopolis Ross Beatty High School. Tina was the name she was known by family and friends. She was baptized at the age of 13 years old at Calvin Center SDA Church.  Tina attended Ross Betty High School in Cassopolis, Michigan and West Junior High School in Lansing, Michigan. She enjoyed playing Bingo and chilling with her sister, Yvette. Tina was a social butterfly, but nothing made her day like spending time with her children and grandchildren. Tina was a homemaker most of her life; she had 3 beautiful daughters. Leontine was very compassionate toward others. She was known as one who would always help others when she could and gave until it hurt.  However, she would fight at the drop of a dime, if you messed with her family.

She is survived by her three daughters, CarVette, Goyce and LaKetta Redmond; 2 grandchildren, Hezekiah Bischoff and Zyon Redmond; 8 sisters, Yvette (Terence) Green, Sabrina, Monique, Brenda, Anglique, Alexis, Ebony Redmond and Doris; 4 brothers, Samuel Harlin, Bernard Redmond, Moses Simba and Damen Redmond; 4 uncles, many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends including Rose M. Bennett Bridgeforth and Julius Scott.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Sarah “Dinkey” and Rebecca Redmond.
