Leonard Staton

On Monday, October 7, 2013 Mr. Leonard Staton Uncle Festus exchanged time for eternity and gained his heavenly wings at McLaren Greater Lansing Hospital. Age 56 years. He was born November 13, 1955 in Blytheville, Arkansas to Charles and Bertha Staton.
Leonard attended elementary school in Blytheville, Arkansas. He later relocated with his family to Saginaw, Michigan where he continued his education. Leonard faithfully served his country as a member of the United State Army where he received an honorable discharge. He loved spending time with his family and friends, especially his grand-daughter who was the light of his life. His presence will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He leaves to cherish his memory one daughter, Tenisha Holmes of Saginaw, Michigan; one son, Leonard A. Staton of California; one stepdaughter, Lakishna Beavers of Flint, Michigan; one grand-daughter who was the love of his life, Tia Holmes; two sisters, Barbara J. Dean of Lansing, Michigan, Dorothy Massengale of Blytheville, Arkansas; two brothers, Larry (Alice) Staton of Dolton, Illinois and Danny (Pervis) Staton of St. Louis, Missouri; his loving special friend and mother of their child, Jeanette Holmes; many other relatives and friends including special friend and ex-wife, Angella Staton.
Leonard was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Bertha Staton, one son, Leonard Staton Jr.,one sister, L. Neal, six brothers, Elbert Dean, John Staton, Robert Franklin, Joe Staton, Charles Staton and Jimmy Dean.
