Mr. Leon Lee Sammons passed away on Wednesday, March 23, 2022, in Jefferson City, Texas. Age 57 years. Leon was born May 7,1965 in Saginaw, Michigan, to Lee Lewis Jr. and Beulah Mae Lewis.
Leon, well-known by the name “Double L.L.,” attended Saginaw High School. He enjoyed dancing, listening to music and walking. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Leon was loved and he will be missed.
He leaves to cherish his memory: two daughters, Nika Roshawn Sammons Patton, and Nakia Leandria (Phillip) Bugg; three grandchildren, Keilan Malik Patton, Lillian Bugg, and Phillip Bugg Jr.; five sisters, Nancy B. Powell, Janie M. Davis, Tammey L. Ezell, Carolyn A. Sammons and Trienise S. Benson; one brother, Phillip L. Sammons; many nieces and nephews; one aunt, Lovie L. Harper.
Leon was preceded in death by his parents, Lee Lewis Jr., and Beulah Mae Lewis; one brother, Lee Sammons; two sisters, Opal Campbell, and Denise Mae Sammons.
