Lenette Brown

Lenette Brown was born on Sunday, May 31, 1953 in Trenton, New Jersey. She passed away at Ascension St. Mary’s Hospital in Saginaw, Michigan on January 4, 2020.

She was raised in Trenton, New Jersey and relocated to Saginaw, Michigan in 1998.

She graduated from Trenton Central High School in 1971 and Delta College (Degree in General Studies) in 2006 in University City, Michigan.

Lenette worked for Princeton Answering Services in Princeton, New Jersey for many years. She also held many other jobs in the role of secretary. During her retirement years, she worked in home-based customer service which is how she was able to maintain her independence.

Lenette loved card games and fun social gatherings, where she made so many friends. She worked to strengthen her relationship with God as she enjoyed revivals to endure her health challenges and treatments. World Outreach Campus of Saginaw, Michigan was her church home.

Lenette is survived by loving family and friends which includes three children, Eric (Stacy) Brown, Nakia (Timothy) Woody, both of Fort Worth, Texas, Jermone Brown, Antioch, California; seven grandchildren, John Jackson, Trenton, New Jersey, Symone Brown, Charlotte, North Carolina, Erika Brown, Alexis Brown, Eric Brown Jr., all of Defiance, Ohio, Aaron Vickers Jr., Timaya Woody, both of Fort Worth, Texas; four great-grandchildren, Za’Khiya and Zai’vion Jackson of Trenton, New Jersey, Jasxyn Vickers, Saginaw, Michigan, Aryin Solomon, Indianapolis, Indiana; brother, Lucius (Fatima) Murphy, Atlanta, Georgia; seven sisters, Sheila Mims, Glassboro, New Jersey, Euloranette Matthews, Hamilton, New Jersey, Margie Plummer, Defiance, Ohio, Mercedes Bethea, Kathy McBride, Chanell Love, all of Trenton, New Jersey, Phyllis Lowe, Saginaw, Michigan; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Lenette was preceded in death by her biological mother, Estella Wharton; adopted parents, Lucius C. and Marie Murphy; brother, C.W. Carter; sister, Deborah Queen carter; niece, Tanya Mims-Ritter.
