Ms. LaToya Monique Green, 39, of Atlanta, Georgia, passed away Tuesday, August 31, 2021, in her home surrounded by loved ones. She was born November 30, 1981, in Saginaw, Michigan to Mrs. Ramona Humes Wilson and Freddie Green, Sr.
LaToya accepted Christ at an early age. She was an overachiever, and very determined. She overcame many challenges; one was becoming a mother while in high school. LaToya graduated with her class in 2000 from Saginaw High School. She later enrolled in Latoya’s School of Nursing, where she obtained her Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) Certificate. In addition, she obtained her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Ashford University in 2014. LaToya began working as a Medical Staff Associate for CSL Plasma in Saginaw, Michigan, #169 and then relocated to Atlanta, Georgia in 2017, where she continued to pursue her passion for the next four years. She ambitiously climbed the career ladder and became an Assistant Center Manager in Gainesville, Georgia #182.
Toya enjoyed cooking, working, traveling, caring for others, and spending time with family. She most enjoyed spending time with her children. LaToya was very inspirational and had a smile that could brighten any dark day you were having. She was kind, very outspoken, never was afraid to speak her mind or correct you. She impacted so many individuals with her diva personality, and her calming down-to-earth spirit. Latoya’s strong-willed attitude and the fight to never give up made her the type of person anyone could look up to. Her presence will be truly missed by all those who knew and loved her. Our beautiful queen is now healed and resting.
LaToya leaves to cherish her memory two children, Shaniyah Peoples and Kaiden Amir Castell; parents Freddie Green Sr. and Ramona (Larry) Humes-Wilson; four sisters, Nekeidra Green, Brittany (Chrijaun) Wilson, Shavonna and Teonna Wilson; two brothers, Freddie Jr. (Monica) Green and Kenneth Green; special nephew, Freddie Green III; special Friends, Ada McElhaney-Carr, Deandre Castell-Mounger, Myrain Peoples, Jazmyn Horton, Jericia Wilson, Latrice Goodwine, Paquieka Sharie Granison, Layla Matthews and Ursula Williams; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
