Larry Hardy

September 6, 1947 — April 23, 2020

Larry Hardy was born September 6, 1947 in Atlanta, Georgia, the son of Juliette Jackson. He finished his course on Thursday, April 23, 2020 at the age of 72 years.

Larry was a hard-working man that spent many years at General Motors Corporation before retiring. He was a strong man and a man of faith that faced life’s challenges head on. He became a mentor to many in the AA/NA fellowship. Helping people overcome struggles that he overcame was his passion.

In his spare time, Larry enjoyed fishing. Being on the water was his quiet place and brought him peace and joy. He loved being on his boat, fishing with family and friends and creating lifelong memories. He thrived on the challenge of fishing and the thrill of pursuing and catching.

Larry was a family man. He loved spending time with his children, and he adored his grandchildren. As he got older, he began enjoying traveling and experiencing new things. He often said, “I lived to lives in one lifetime.” His love for life and people will truly be missed but he will be forever remembered.

Larry was preceded in death by his daughter, Chrystell Hardy; sons, Julius, Joshua and Ivory Hardy; mother, Juliette Jackson; sister, Charlotte Cage; former spouse, Yvonne Hardy.

He leaves precious memories with his wife, Bethany Hardy; children, Corey Hardy, Bobby Vann, Dwayne Hardy, Joseph Vann, Lamont Dillard, Henry Dillard, Brian Johnson, Robbie (Larry) Crawford-Nash, Sharon Swift, Vern Swift, Mikey Swift, Whitney (Preston) Snow, Simone Hardy; grandchildren, Torry Jackson “JJ”, Julius Hardy, Jr., Julius Hardy II, Tomecio Hardy “Judah”, Jada Hardy, Ja’syah Hardy, JuLisya Hardy, Robbin Hardy, Jawhan Hardy, Carrie Hardy, Domingo Rodriguez, Delaneo Hernandez, Dwayne Hardy, Jr., Briana Murphy, Santoya Hardy, Dehavion Allen , DeNazia Washington, Preston Snow, Jr., Eric Vasquez, Jayce Vasquez, Julius Vasquez and many more; sister, Gloria Jackson; brothers, Felton Woods, Leon II (Brenda) Jackson, Daniel (Mattie) McCray; nieces, Tonia Jackson, Schaundala Cage, Andrea (Anthony) Harris, Erika Woods, Nicole Sims, Danielle (Eric) Petre; special niece, Bianca Parks; nephews, Corey (Autumn) Woods, Leon Jackson III, DeAngelo Jackson; many other relatives and friends including best friend, Deborah Morris, significant other, Jacqueline Robinson, the AA/NA Fellowship and cousins, the Hardys, Phillips and Jacksons.
