L.G. Robinson

September 15, 1931 — February 25, 2022

Mr. L. G. Robinson, a resident of Saginaw, Michigan, passed away on Friday, February 25, 2022, following a brief illness. Age 90 years. He was born September 15, 1931 in Vardaman, Mississippi to Lottie and Gabe Robinson.


The family relocated to Farrell, Mississippi, where L.G. worked as a general laborer. He was good working with his hands and repairing machinery. Later he moved to Lyons, Mississippi where he met and married Fannie Kirkwood. In 1957, they moved to Chicago, Illinois, where they made lasting friendships. In 1969 the family relocated to Saginaw, Michigan where L.G. was employed at General Motors in Flint, Michigan, until his retirement.


Bo, as he was affectionally known, loved his family and would do whatever he could for them. Known to be a very generous man, Bo would give you the shirt off his back. He cared for his family and provided for them, hardly ever missing a day of work. He was very proud of his children.


L. G. is survived by his daughter, Patricia (Richard) Seals, Champions Gate, Florida; three sons, L.V. (Sheryl) Robinson, Delray Beach, Florida, John L. (Eileen) Robinson, Willie Robinson, all of Saginaw, Michigan; twenty-two grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren, eight great-great-grandchildren, and many cherished nieces and nephews.


L. G. was predeceased by his loving wife, Fannie Robinson; three daughters, Faye Robinson, Francine McKinley, Victoria Wicker, grandson, Richard Seals II; his parents, Lottie, and Gabe Robinson; five sisters, Loraine, Emma, Stella, Lottie, and Glenda; three brothers, Miller, Lee, and Johnnie.
