L.C. Thomas

Mr. L.C. Thomas passed away on January 20, 2018 at Covenant HealthCare-Cooper. Age 89 years. He was born in Jonesboro, Arkansas on December 7, 1928.

Mr. Thomas relocated to Saginaw, Michigan in 1960 taking employment at the Chevrolet Grey Iron Foundry. He was a member of UAW Local 668. L.C. enjoyed fishing, working on houses and being an Uber driver.

Bro. Thomas joined the New Faith Temple family in 1980, under the leadership of the late Supt. Allen and Roberta Paige. He was considered the ultimate repairman. If it was broken, L.C. fixed it. He got his praise on from the third row, aisle seat. Bro. Thomas enjoyed participating in praise and worship. His hand clap will never be duplicated. He served faithfully under the leadership of Dr. Charles Coleman until his health failed. He will be missed by family and friends.

L.C.’s life is cherished by, his loving and devoted wife, Marilyn; children, Aaron Thomas, Lynn (Jessie) Gonzales; Lavora Santos, Zachary McDaniel, Jr. and Shayla Hurston; grandchildren, Mareona Gonzales, Sr., Aaron Thomas, Jr., Adoniss Mitchner, Jr., Sa,Mariah O’Bryan, Sher’Mia Cooper; great-grandchildren, Milyn, Mireya, and Mareono, Jr. Gonzales; Zachaery, Zamiyah, ZaMir and Zadrin McDaniel; his great niece, the one he called his partner, ShaKira Wright; cousin, Joe Lewis Thompson; mother in- law, Dorothy Patrick; other in-laws, Joyce (Jerome) Patrick, Sr., Deloise Hurston, Mitchell (Tasnya) Patrick, Brian Patrick (Jackie McClaren); Wendy Patrick (Frank Pulliam) ; special friends, Albert Brown and Raymond Box; neighbors, Leroy and Mary Harrison.

L.C. was pre-deceased by his parents, brothers and a host of cousins.
