Kendrick Valyn Bowens was born to Shelly Ann Mosson and Samuel Johnson on Saturday, March 20, 1971. On Sunday night, November 10, 2019, Kendrick answered the call to live with his Heavenly Father.

Kendrick had the hearts of all his family because of his sweet spirit and soft tone as a child. He attended Saginaw Public Schools from elementary to high school, where he made many lifelong friends. He was gifted, energetic and loved everything about cars.

Although his life had seen many hills and valleys, that never stopped him from smiling and living his life fearlessly. Kendrick was comical, animated and the “life of the party”. He loved his friends and family, especially his children.

Kendrick was preceded in death by his sister, Chantelle J. Mosson; grandparents, Willie Sr. and Corean K. Mosson, Blanche Johnson; uncle; Charlie Matthews Jr.; aunt, Erma D. Sanders; niece, Destiny C. Harvey.

His memory will forever be cherished by his daughter, LaKendra K. Bowens; sons, Kendrick D. Turner, Drew Moore, Keon Bowens, Quinn P. Hodges, Trevell Wiley, La’Marion Moore; his loving parents, Shelly (John) Trice, Samuel (Pauline) Johnson; grandchildren, D’Sean and Ki’Chon Scroggins, Quinn, Kyran, Kayden Hodges, DeAndrew Moore; brothers, Victor C. Mosson, William E. Boyd; sisters, Charlotte C. Mosson, Lesia (Lucas) Wheatley; four paternal aunts; maternal aunt, Estella M. Price; five paternal uncles; maternal uncles, Willie V. Mosson Jr., George (Veronica) Mosson; nephews, Kendrick V. Mosson, Victor M. Harris; nieces, Michelle D. Rivers, Amaya D. Nash, Hannah M. Wheatley; one great-niece; two great-nephews; fiancé, Cortney King and her children, Maurshay, Deonta’Nay, Corrion, Taylor, Jayla; a host of cousins and extended family.

Kendrick’s memory will forever be in the hearts of his brothers in life, Andre Miller, Aristeo Robelin, Solathian Liggins, James Williams, Marcus Brown, James Davis, Calvin Payton, Nehmann Turner and KayToya McCarroll, Brothers in life who preceded Kendrick in death were Cedric Bables, Anthony Barnett, Lamont Toliver and Marcus Jones.
