Katrina Perkins (Lansing)

Ms. Katrina Denise Perkins passed away Saturday, July 22, 2017 at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing, Michigan. Age 63 years. She was born May 19, 1954 to Lillie Randle-Perkins and Albert Lee Perkins in Leland, Mississippi. She was the last child born to this union.

Katrina graduated from Lansing Sexton High School and attended Davenport University where she received her associate degree in Business Management.

Katrina gave her life to the Lord at an early age and grew up as a member of the Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Reverend Joseph Graves. In 2011, she rededicated her life to the Lord and strived towards a more excellent walk with Him until her death.

She leaves to celebrate her transition Home 4 daughters, TeKosha Raye Perkins, Enrika Denise Perkins and Sharonda (Terrell) Hudson, all of Lansing, Michigan and Rhonesia Kaitlin Hudson, Chicago, Illinois; 7 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; 5 sisters, Cossetta (Thomas) Taylor, Mableton, Georgia, Jennifer (Don) Jones, Lansing, Michigan, Kathy (Larry) Dixon and Linda Gonsoulin, both of Houston, Texas and Erica Perkins, Los Angeles, California; 2 aunts, Velma Allen, Flint, Michigan and Rosemary Gardner, Chicago, Illinois; 20 nieces and nephews; 40 great-nieces and nephews; 8 great-great nieces and nephews; 3 very special cousins, Virginia Russell, Bobbie Martin and Leola Taylor; many other wonderful cousins, relatives and friends including her Christ’s Kingdom Builders Church Family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Winifred Perkins and Margo Perkins; and brother, Albert Lee Perkins, Jr.
