Ms. Joyce Marie Holliday passed away on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at Covenant Healthcare-Cooper. Age 83 years young. She was born on October 23, 1934 in Gary, Indiana to Lotus Perkins, Sr. and Beatrice Leasure.
Joyce was employed by the Saginaw Board of Education for over 25 years. She was well-known and loved in her community, affectionately known as “Mama Joyce” over four decades.
She leaves to cherish her memory three daughters, Kimberly (Shannon) Holliday, Vicki Barnes, Saginaw, Michigan, and Sabra Smith, Crown Point, Indiana; grandchildren, Tiara Holliday, Tony Scott, Jr., Shannon Cook, Jr. and Shania Cook, all of Saginaw, Michigan; great-grandchildren, Teyana Holliday, Kyrie Holliday, Saginaw, Michigan; sisters, Bertha Nunley, Gary, Indiana; brother, Michael (Yvonne) Perkins, Chicago, Illinois; very special niece, Beatrice Smith, Chicago, Illinois.
Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Willis Holliday; brothers, Warfield Perkins and Lotus Perkins, Jr.; sister, Kathleen Rucker.
