Mr. Johnnie Miller passed away on Sunday, October 29, 2017 at Covenant Healthcare-Harrison. Age 84 years. He was born on May 18, 1933 in Jackson, Mississippi to Willie Earl Craft and Mary Craft.

Johnnie became a resident of Saginaw, Michigan in the early 1950s. He worked for General Motors Chevrolet Grey Iron Foundry retiring in 1994 after 31 years. Johnnie was a member of UAW Local 668. He was a believer and accepted the Lord as Savior at an early age. Johnnie loved spending time watching all types of sports, especially baseball. His favorite pastime was watching westerns and scary movies on television. Johnnie gave priority to family in his own way. He will be missed dearly.

Johnnie leaves to cherish his memory two sons, Jessie Allen Miller, Saginaw, Michigan and Sylvester Cottrell, Jackson, Mississippi; four grandchildren, Jessica Harry, Keyanna Foster, Shakala Foster, and Joshua Miller; two great-grandchildren, Ju’Lisa Olivarez and Londyn Duncan; two cousins, Annette Rhymes and Keysha Rhymes, Jackson, Mississippi; two sisters-in-law, Margarett Williams and Willa Mae McDonald; many other relatives and friends including special friends, Sardester Marshall and Nancy Brown.

Johnnie was preceded in death by his wife, Lenora Harper Miller; his parents, Willie Earl Craft and Mary Craft; many other relatives and friends, including Henry Lindsey and Lula Roebuck.

The family expresses special thanks to Jessie’s fiancé, Monica Stinson, the Jackson family, the McGee family, the Smith family and Demetrius “Sookie” Pierson for all your support and guidance during this difficult time.
